women writer

Emily Dickinson was born in Amherst, Massachusetts on December 10th, 1830.Dickinson wrote many poems, of which only two were published while she was living, her sister, collected her poems after her death and began having them published in various selections beginning in 1890. Dickinson’ work includes almost 1800 poems, along with many brilliantly written letters. Her first poems was written while she was in her teens, her 20s and 30s were the most creative for her work.  With Walt Whitman, Dickinson is widely considered to be one of the two leading 19th-century American poets. One of her famous poets that I admire is A thought went up on my mind to- day because it’s reminded me every single day whe i tought about something and flow up in my mind .

A thought went up my mind to-day
That I have had before,
But did not finish,--some way back,
I could not fix the year,

Nor where it went, nor why it came
The second time to me,
Nor definitely what it was,
Have I the art to say.

But somewhere in my soul, I know
I've met the thing before;
It just reminded me--'t was all--
And came my way no more.

  1. I am not a big fan of poems, but I am happy Ms. Dickinson existed because she started the revolution for women writers.
